Which grade levels does EDIA offer?

We provide instruction for students who meet age requirements for preschool to 12th grade in our regular academic programs. For our international GCSE program, ages for students are to be between the ages of 14-18.

What academic curriculum does EDIA use?

All core subject classes use adapted Core Knowledge curriculum to suit the needs of our learners. The Core Knowledge Curriculum Series™ provides comprehensive, content-rich learning materials based on the Core Knowledge Sequence. Core Knowledge is a derivative of Engage NY. We also use Everyday Ibaadah curricular resources for our PK and KG classes in core instruction and foundational Arabic classes for early learners. Eureka Math, Illustrious Math and Zearn digital learning products are used for Mathematics instruction. Qubits curriculum is used for our ICT/Coding classes. Al Arabiyyah Bayna Yadyk is used for our leveled Arabic instruction in grades 1-12. Common lit and CK-12 resources are used in our English and upper grade classes for a variety of subjects i.e. the Sciences, Social Studies, Health. Lastly, we use Nemour's Health curriculum to support our physical education classes.

Why does EDIA use the Core Knowledge Curriculum Series™ ?

Students, teachers, administrators, and parents can all benefit from implementing a Core Knowledge program. Core Knowledge provides a coherent plan for learning that builds cumulatively from grade to grade. The curriculum can help students build strong foundations of knowledge for success in high school and beyond. The curriculum creates a common focus that promotes teamwork and collaboration which is essential for helping students meet grade level standards, benchmarks and develop 21st century skills.

Is EDIA an accredited school?

Yes, we our fully accredited and recognize globally for our regional accreditation we hold through Cognia, formally known as Advanced Education solutions. Our regional accreditation grants us accreditation under 3 accrediting bodies; NWAC, NCA CASI, and SACS CASI. This is the NWAC Northwest Accreditation Commission (1917), NCA CASI North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (1895), SACS CASI Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1895). About Us

Will EDIA's Diploma afford my student with the ability to apply for Colleges and Universities?

Yes, as a regionally accredited school the credits we provide for completion of our High School classes can be transferred to many Colleges and Universities around the world. The classes and the resulting diploma we offer are the equivalent to those offered in face-to-face schools. However, it is important for families to research the schools you want to get into in order to learn the requirements.

Is the IGCSE program at EDIA recognized and approved?

Yes, our International GCSE program is approved and recognized by Pearson's EdExcel. It is comparable to the Cambridge certification and provides us with the ability to provide preparation classes with approved resources, and qualified instructors. We are also approved and recognized to test learners and grant certification through our partnerships with Pearson EdExcel and British Council in different parts of the world.
